RÉSUMÉ
An Autobiographical Statement was written for the Inaori Foundation and delivered in Kyoto as a commemorative lecture in response to having received the Kyoto Prize in November 1989. It is a work in progress. It was first published in Southern Review, nr. 76, Winter 1991.
