Born in Japan in 1941, Carlotta Ikeda died in September 2014 in Bordeaux where she had lived since the early 90s.
As a long-standing partner of the female butô star and her all-female company Ariadone, OARA, in collaboration with Micadanses and Fait d’hiver festival, is honoring her with an evening dedicated to her work.
The event will feature a dance lecture by choreographer, dancer and researcher Maëva Lamolière entitled “Looking for Carlotta”, and the premiere of two solos by former company dancers (Yumi Fujitani, Naomi Mutoh) based on personal and sensory memories.
To close the event, Stéphanie will host a talk with Maëva Lamolière.

The bookstore will be present throughout the evening, with a special selection based on butoh.
