MOVING WORDS IN SPACE – Learning a language through movement
Teacher training with Agnès Benoit

Books on the Move launches a professional teacher training with Agnès Benoit around her practice Moving words in space – A multidisciplinary teaching and artistic practice – language and movement.

>  A traveling, international training program.

> A training program dedicated to future practitioners wishing to convey a language through movement, to a diverse range of participants.

> A training program taking place between Germany, France and Belgium.

> A training program taking place over 4 modules of 4 days, between March and August 2025.

WHO IS IT FOR? This teacher training is for anyone wishing to learn about teaching language through movement to any group of people.

It is strongly recommended that participants be already involved in a movement practice, preferably with some experience in improvisation. The choice of language(s) taught remains at the discretion of each person, as well as the choice of a target audience.

If you are a teacher with little experience in dance, please do not hesitate to contact us to talk about it.

TRAINING DURATION: The full training program consists of 4 four-day modules, between March and August 2025. 

SCHEDULE AND VENUES:

> Module 1 – March 5 to 8 2025, Fabrik Potsdam near Berlin.

> Module 2 – April 23 to 26 2025, Centre d’animation Argonne in Bordeaux.

> Module 3 – May 21 to 24 2025, la briqueterie CDCN, Vitry-sur-Seine near Paris.

> Module 4 – August 27 to 30 2025, La Bellone with Contrendanse in Brussels.

THE TEAM :Agnès Benoitwill lead the training with the participation of artists and/or researchers Christine Bertocchi, Régine Chopinot, Volmir Cordeiro, Jeremiah Day, Lisa Dowler, Thierry Duirat, Claire Filmon, Myriam Suchet, Odile Seitz-Walser and David Zambrano(to be confirmed).

COST OF TRAINING:

> Full rate: 2 250€ + membership to Books on the Move.

> Reduced rate: 1 800€ + membership to Books on the Move.
