Since many years Books on the Move travels with Emilie Gallier’s  beautiful books (Sync, Papier Incomestible). Based in Leiden in the Netherlands, Émilie develops a reading practice around and as a performance form. Her exquisite thesis Reading in performance – Lire en Spectacle looks into writings handed out to audience members and asks: “what happens during a performance while the public is busy reading”. This gathering at Books on the Move will give us the opportunity to exchange around her practice, thesis, and ongoing research around landscape and Glaneuses at the  Minières, a farm run by a collective in Normandy.
